Run Your Race

There is no single finish line at GODSPEED. The clock runs for twelve hours and the loop stays open the whole time. Come out for a 5K and go home. Go after 50 miles. Or just keep putting one foot in front of the other and see what the day gives you. Every lap counts, and the only person you are racing is the one you were yesterday.

The Course

A 1.5 mile marked loop at Hazel Bazemore Park in Corpus Christi. Two laps is a 5K. Run it once or run it all day - your mileage is whatever you stack up before 7:00 PM.

What Is Included

Race shirt, finisher reward, aid stations on course, and a post-race snack.

What GODSPEED 12 is

Twelve hours. One 1.5 mile loop. Your race. On Saturday, December 12, 2026, from 7:00 in the morning until 7:00 at night, Hazel Bazemore Park in Corpus Christi becomes a twelve-hour endurance event where every person on the course is chasing their own number. Run a 5K and go home proud. Chase 50 miles. Walk it with your family. Come for an hour on your lunch break. Same loop, same clock, everybody running their own race.

Who this is for

Runners and walkers. First-timers and people with a wall of medals. Families, church groups, high school teams, veterans and first responders, functional fitness and HYROX athletes looking for a different kind of test, and people who have never raced anything and want to find out what is in there.

There is no qualifying time and no minimum distance. The only requirement is that you show up.

Distances and goals

Pick your own. Common targets people set for a twelve-hour format:

  • 5K - two laps of the loop.
  • 10K - four laps.
  • Half marathon - about nine laps.
  • Marathon - about eighteen laps.
  • 50 miles or your personal ultra - for the people who want to find the edge.
  • Your own number. Most people set a goal and then beat it, because the loop is short and the crowd is loud.

The course

A 1.5 mile loop at Hazel Bazemore Park in Nueces County, just northwest of Corpus Christi. A short loop is the friendliest format there is for a long day: you are never far from your gear, your people, food, or a chair. Family can see you every fifteen minutes instead of once at the finish.

Sponsors and community partners

GODSPEED is put on by a gym, not a race company, and local sponsors are what make it possible. Sponsorship levels run from Community through Presenting, with shirt and banner placement, a vendor booth, announcer recognition and free entries depending on the level. If your business wants in, get in touch and we will send you the details.

Common questions

Do I have to run the whole twelve hours?

No. Run as long as you want and stop when you are done. Plenty of people do a 5K and go get breakfast.

Can I walk it?

Yes. Walkers are welcome for any distance.

Can my family come?

Please bring them. The short loop makes this one of the best spectator formats there is, and kids can jump in for a lap.

Do I need to be a member of the gym?

No. GODSPEED is open to everybody.

How do I train for it?

Our Sunday run club is free and open to anybody, and our strength and conditioning classes keep runners healthy through a long build. Your first 7 classes are free.

Where exactly is Hazel Bazemore Park?

Nueces County, just off the northwest side of Corpus Christi near Calallen. Directions and parking details go out to registered participants before race day.

God first. Train hard. Transform everything.

That is the theme of the day and the reason the event exists. Come find out what twelve hours does to a person.
